Korg EX-800 – Part 1 – Oscillators

This one covers the oscillators (DCOs) in the Korg EX-800 (which are also the same in the Poly-800). They are interesting in that they only produce square waves. However, they have this neat trick where they can produce a special waveform called a step wave.

Roland JD-Xi Firmware 1.5 Interactive Chord – External Gear!

This video shows how to use the interactive chord feature on the JD-Xi with external gear. The feature is able to transpose sequences via the root note of a chord.

UPDATED firmware!

Roland have released a small fix for the Interactive Chord feature:

Many users were complaining there was some weirdness happening with the chord if a root note other than “C” was used. This is the fix for this bug.
