About the Synth Geekery Show
Synth Geekery is a weekly podcast/live stream (YouTube) show about everything synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, sequencers, eurorack and music technology. We take the “one of the masses” viewpoint, where we are also users of gear just like you (read: we’re not influenced by commercial product placement).
The show relies on the generous contributions of the synth community. You can contribute in many ways including supporting us via our YouTube Channel Membership or Patreon. We also have regular and special video guests: if you would like to take part in future shows – please contact me via email on the about page here.

News
Zoom MS-70CDR+
Zoom MS-70CDR+ is an upgrade to the previous pedal. Although manufactured for guitarists, the MS-70CDR is popular with synthesizer owners. The algorithms are good quality and provides options to layer effects with internal routing.
Price: TBA

Michael Geiss Ticket
A piece of sampling history! Michel Geiss, a famous musician who worked with Jean-Michel Jarre during the albums Oxygene and Equinoxe etc. He was caught by the Parisian Police recording trains, and issued with this citation.
The recording ended up on Magnetic Fields Part IV. You’ll all know it as the train passing at the end of the track. Incredible how much sound designers go to to get that audio!
Vongon Replay
The new Vongon Replay is a different take on a Virtual Analog (VA) synthesizer.
Price: $899

QAN1x Editor
The QAN1x Editor is a new project on GitHub that provides editing and patch library management for the Yamaha AN1X Synthesizer. It is also possible you can use it for an AN200 or other devices which use the PLG500-AN sound expansion board.
The editor is available for both Windows and Mac operating systems – or you can compile it from the source code. There are some videos on YouTube showing this in use, plus some good documentation on GitHub.
