About “The Apology”:

This song is about the Stolen Generation, and the generation of children who were forced into adoption by the society of the 1960’s in Australia.

This phenomena touched my life too. For years I have lived my life knowing that I have a sister. This sister wasn’t a half-sister or a step sister, she was made from the same mother and father as me.

The Apology represents those who are the adopted and those who’s lives are affected.  A single instrument was used to represent the sole life that had no choices. The individual who became the victim. The voice that can be heard through the pain numbed by time.
