Behringer Halos

The Behringer HALOS is a 14 HP Eurorack physical‑modeling resonator module, inspired by Mutable Instruments Rings. It turns simple inputs (noise bursts, triggers, envelopes, external audio) into richly textured, acoustic‑like sounds using modal synthesis, modeling strings, tubes, membranes, and plates.

🛠️ Feature List

  • Three resonator modes: Modal Resonator, Sympathetic Strings, Non‑Linear/Dispersion Strings for modeling different acoustic materials
  • Pseudo‑polyphony: up to 4 simultaneous notes for overlapping decay and movement
  • Front‑panel full CV control (Frequency, Structure, Brightness, Damping, Position), each with bipolar attenuverter
  • High‑resolution CV input (16‑bit) for precise modulation
  • USB‑C port on front panel for firmware updates (new over original Rings)
  • Compact format: 14 HP wide, ~30 mm deep; draws ~50 mA @ +12 V and ~20 mA @ –12 V
