About the Synth Geekery Show

Synth Geekery is a weekly podcast/live stream (YouTube) show about everything synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, sequencers, eurorack and music technology. We take the “one of the masses” viewpoint, where we are also users of gear just like you (read: we’re not influenced by commercial product placement).

The show relies on the generous contributions of the synth community. You can contribute in many ways including supporting us via our YouTube Channel Membership or Patreon. We also have regular and special video guests: if you would like to take part in future shows – please contact me via email on the about page here.

Korg Multi/Poly

Digital – but inspired by original. 4 Osc per voice. Wavetable. 4 timbres. Dual filters. Wave shapers with multiple synth sounds. Kaoss physics and FX. So how is this different to Modwave? How does this compare to the competition?
vs Modwave: Multi/Poly is labelled as an analog modelling synth. But also includes the same wavetables as Modwave. It has 4 oscillators compared to 2 on modwave. However Modwave has a few more hands on controls over the oscillators.
vs others: The 4 oscillators and synth engine with multiple timbres makes it quite configurable and unique with the deep modulation options. 3 Octaves and no aftertouch is limited.

Price: $899
