The Behringer SKIES is a digital Eurorack module that brings granular audio processing to modular synth setups. It is a faithful recreation of the iconic Mutable Instruments Clouds, an open-source granular synthesis module that became a classic for ambient soundscapes, textured audio layering, and experimental sound design. SKIES inherits the powerful feature set of Clouds while delivering it in Behringer’s accessible and budget-friendly format.

This module allows users to manipulate audio in real time by splitting it into “grains,” which can be altered in pitch, size, density, and timing. Ideal for transforming simple sounds into lush, evolving textures, SKIES is suited for both live performance and sound design applications.
